Annual Pat Domenicone Memorial Cup Benefiting CASA

On Saturday, July 30th, 2005, the Forsyth County Court Appointed Special
Advocates (CASA) program held its first annual
polo match at The Polo Club of
Atlanta. The Pat
Domenicone
Memorial
Cup honors
the
father of CASA volunteer, Kim Domenicone.

The event was a
tremendous success,
with over 400 people in attendance. Activities included a silent auction, pony
rides and petting zoo, face painting and plenty of food and
drinks.

CASA is a non-profit organization
focused on providing child victims of abuse and neglect with a “voice” in
court. These trained CASA Volunteers advocate for children until they are
placed in a safe, permanent home. During 2004, the number of children served
in Forsyth County by CASA Volunteers increased by over 31%. Currently, CASA
Volunteers are working with 159 children.

A special
